My mother, Jackie, a woman who has walked in faith and has trusted in God and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior for twice my lifetime, has been incarcerated since midnight Central Daylight Time on Tuesday 29 July 2025. She is in her 12th day of detention. On Thursday 7 August 2025, her attorney had pushed for her third degree felony charges to be declassified to Class C Misdemeanors. They are pushing for her release within 1 to 2 weeks, and for her to avoid probation. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit fills that courtroom. That the Holy Spirit fills the heart and mind of the judge and continues to fill the heart and mind of her attorney. I pray that what they are fighting for through a court motion comes about or something even greater, which she told me happened to another person in the facility. I pray that she is ultimately released with a clean slate. I pray that she can return to her caretaker position she held for 6 years. I pray that my family continues to praise the Lord through and after this perilous ordeal and draw closer together. This situation has turned the family into nervous wrecks. I can't do anything. We are absolutely powerless. God is our only source of refuge, hope, and comfort. I pray that that He brings about the things that her attorney is fighting for. Her second hearing is soon. I pray that her attorney actually fights for her and that he also accepts Christ as his Lord and Saviour, likewise with the judge and district attorney and that everything goes in her favor and that she is ultimately released. No red tape, additional proceedings, just her release as her attorneys target, if not sooner. I pray that the anxiety built in me is removed. It's damaging to me and my health. I just continue to trust and believe in Him as that's all I can do. I can do no more than what I've already been doing. Finally I pray that upon her release that the family draws closer together and worships and praises God more fervently and through this we can lead more people to come to Him and accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and repent and walk through the straight and narrow gate that leads to everlasting life
